Mulligan Tournament – Fri., Jan. 13 and Sat. Jan. 14

Due to the weather, Tournament Time Change:

--Sign in & warm ups for Friday & Saturday are 10am, with start time between 10:30-11am.

--Volunteers: Those who have volunteered except for food sales, please show up at 9:30am. Also, if there is rain overnight or early morning, additional volunteers will be needed at 8:30am to dry the courts.

--Hot Dog Meals: Don't forget we will be selling Hot Dog Meals both days from 11-2pm.Come on out and watch your colleagues play and tell your friends to come for lunch too! Thank you for your support and cooperation.

TPPC Shirts Sale at the Courts

Sales of Timber Pines Pickleball Club logo performance shirts will be on sale at the Pavilion on Friday, Jan. 13 and Saturday, Jan. 14 from 10am-2:00pm. Please bring cash or check for your shirt(s), and select size, color, and type of shirt. A poster of different shirts will be posted and Robin Schneider will be available to answer questions and take your orders.

Instruction and Development

Introduction to Pickleball beginner lessons on Mondays from 1:00-3:00 on courts 1 & 2. This class will cover the basics of Pickleball for new members with limited knowledge of Pickleball play. Limit 8 players.

Beginner Play with a mentor on Mondays from 1:00-3:00 on courts 3 & 4. After taking a couple lessons, this is a perfect place to come and play with other beginner players alongside a mentor. Limit 8 players.

Intermediate Skills/Drills on Wednesdays from 1:00-3:00, courts 1 & 2. Focus will be on areas players may be having issues with while also working on new strategies. Join us if you'd like to improve your game. Limit 8 players.

Beginner Skills/Drills on Fridays from 1:00-3:00 on courts 1 - 4. Focus will be on building the skills of beginner players. Rotating stations will provide the opportunity to work on basic key skills. Limit 16 players.

If you sign up for any of the above lessons/drills and find you are not able to attend please take your name off the list as soon as possible. This is a courtesy to both those who want to attend and the volunteer mentors who are planning the instruction.

TPPC 2023 Membership Forms

TPPC membership forms for 2023 are located at the Courts between Courts 1,2 and 3,4. Fill out the form with your $10 yearly 2023 membership fee and place in the wooden box above the form container. If you are a new player, you will be placed in the TPPC roster and receive a Welcome Letter from the Club. Your membership to the Pickleball Club in Timber Pines includes access to the Den and to Den Sign-up Sheets to play on the TP Courts. You DO NOT have to pay Den separately.

Note: Your 2023 TPPC $10 membership fee covers use of the Den. DO NOT PAY A FEE DIRECTLY TO DEN.

Medical Corner. Volunteers Helen Coverdale and Pat Thayer, two nurses in our Club, have volunteered to provide some medical advice and tips as well as keeping the medical bags up to date. Help our medics by keeping the bags, located at both ends under the shade areas, tidy so they are easy to find supplies needed.

Reminder: Pickleball Balls in Cold Weather

As winter cold weather continues, remember that pickleballs will not be stored in the ball holders on the courts when the temperature is 50 degrees or below. Pickleballs are removed from the courts if the temperature is below 50 degrees, and returned at 50 degrees. If you are playing when the temperature is below 50, bring your own balls to use to play.
