Pickleball Fix

Last weekend’s Turkey Trot tournament was a huge success! Thank you to all of our volunteers who worked so hard to make it happen. We couldn't have done it without you - the Tournament Director, organizers, court monitors, grill masters, concession helpers, score keepers, registration table, court prep helpers, etc. The weather did not fully cooperate, but with so many helpers, we were able to dry off the courts enough to get in the men's and mixed partners divisions. Congratulations to all the players who came out and competed. It was great to see everyone's smiling faces, great competition, and people enjoying the hot dog lunch too. This event came in under budget.

There were 18 people signed-up for last week’s cookout who did not show up. What those 18 may not know is that the main dish had been ordered on Thursday evening for ALL those signed-up. Thus, when they did not show or pay, we were $90 short in revenue. (We thank the one person that did pay their $5 each for them and their friend, because they knew at the last minute they wouldn't be attending.) So, we’re in the position of asking those who did not attend as planned, and who did not take their name off the list before the Thursday 5:30pm deadline, man up and pay your $5. Please put your “donation” in an envelope and deposit it in the PARC mail box. Mark the envelope with your name and “Nov 18 Cookout”. We know who you are. Altho we would like to continue having cookouts, we will not do so if this continues to happen. If you are a no show without payment again, you may be asked to pay ahead of the Thursday deadline in the future, or you may be waitlisted. We are committed to not running these events at a loss. Our promise to you.
