Pickleball Fix - new Den interface

by Bev Crane

The BOD met on Tues. Sep. 13 at 3pm at the Country Club. Several Club members-- Mel Kohlberg, Tom Asbel, Colleen Stewart, Carol Bowe, Ralph Holland, and Ken Krueger—also attended the meeting. The next meeting is scheduled for Tues. October 11.

Change to Sign-up Event Sheets on Den. You may have noticed that the format on the Den for signing up for events looked different when this week’s schedule was posted on Thurs. Oct. 13. You can now narrow your search to a specific date range by clicking dates on a calendar and searching different play types (open, social, or shootout) so you don’t have to scroll through so many events.

Click this link to see a visual of the steps to use the new sign-up sheets.

Saturday Night Cookout (Sep 17) at 5:30. Thanks to our two volunteer chefs Chris Schaefer and Karen Toof, who have created a delicious main dish for this week’s cookout: Mexican beef and black bean burritos with green chiles (optional). Enjoy a great meal and camaraderie with your colleagues.

--Starting on October 3rd the Beginners’ sessions will be every Monday from 11am to 1pm on Courts 1 & 2.

Other Upcoming Events

--Donny’s Wed. Nite ABCD – Donny’s ABCD event continues on Wed night from 5-7pm. Sign up on Den for this new time. To sign up on the newly formatted sign-up sheets, select the date and click Social under Play Type.

-- New Event Coming: Throwback Tuesday

A new event for all women picklers on the first Tuesday of every month will begin on the first Tuesday, October 4 at 5pm at the Lodge Pickleball Courts, a throwback to our original Court play. Four (4) courts will be available for pickleball followed by socializing. Please bring a snack to share, your chair, and everyone bring their own drink. For questions call Karen Toof at 303 517-0800. Come play pickleball and socialize with your colleagues. Great fun!

Notice: The area between the Wellness Center and the Pavilion containing 25 golf cart parking spaces has been closed temporarily (possibly a couple of weeks) while outside work on the Center continues. Since parking is now more limited, park golf carts in the grassy area north of the courts. Ride together when possible to conserve parking space.

The Club membership is now 1041! The next Friday Fix will be Sep. 30.

Come on out and let’s keep on picklin’,
