A May to Remember – Coming this week alone we will have Cinco de Mayo on May 5th, the Kentucky Derby on May 6th, the world famous TPPC Cookout on May 6 th, and Mothers’ Day on May 7th. So it seems like a Friday Flash this week would be anticlimactic. Welcome to the Tuesday version of the Friday Fix.
There will be a Best Hat/Derby contest at the Cookout on Saturday to commemorate with either a Cinco de Mayo or Kentucky Derby theme. There will be prize(s). For our eating pleasure, Chef Toof is creating her excellent pulled pork sandwiches. Sign up to be one of a hundred attendees, but take your name out ASAP if you can’t make it. And bring an appropriate dish to pass to feed 8. In the comments section, identify what dish you’re preparing to avoid duplication. Starts 5:30pm, $5 per person to get in the imaginary doors, and have some fun.
Skinny Singles – Skinnies are back on the schedule. After last week’s kickoff, Piet and Bill are preparing for even more participants. Every Thursday at 5pm, on Lodge Courts 5 and 6. A great way to improve upon your recently learned skills, improve accuracy keeping in your lane. Beginners are especially invited to try your hand.
Next Paddle Up – Another new addition to the schedule tailored for beginner-level players is NPU on Wednesday and Friday mornings at 9am on Courts # 9 and 10. Be sure your name is prominently marked on your paddle, please.
Other Events – Reminders … every Tuesday at 1pm is Mens’ Day, and every Thursday also at 1pm is Ladies’ Day.
Volunteers – Please consider signing up to volunteer for one (or more) openings where we desperately need volunteers to bring off many of our events and happenings. Contact Patty Rocheleau to join.
