Pickleball is a racquet sport which combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. The sport is played on a court the size of a doubles badminton court. The net is similar to tennis but is mounted two inches lower. The game is played with a smaller version of a plastic wifflellnd hard paddle.

The game is growing rapidly with young and old having loads of fun. Background
Pickleball has an interesting name. Accounts of how it originated differ with two versions. The sport was name by a family based on the combination of sport reminded the family of a pickle boat in crew where oarsmen were chosen from left overs from other boats. The second was after the name of a family dog named "Pickles"who would chase the ball and run off with it.

The game was started in 1965 on Bainbridge Island near Seattle with no official name and has since become very popular.
