DIRECTOR VACANCY
The Pickleball Club Nominating Committee is seeking members to apply for open positions on the Club Board of Directors. There are five positions available for 2024: three 3-year terms and two 1-year terms. We are calling out to all members. Thus far, only 3 persons have volunteered their names to fill the five positions. If you are interested and would like to serve on the Pickleball Club Board of Directors, please submit your name, along with a short summary of who you are and why you would be a good candidate for the board. The terms of service will be determined by the new board immediately after the Members’ Annual Meeting elections, during the Board of Directors Annual Meeting. All those interested in running need to submit their name and summary by February 26, 2024. Please send them to Carol Bowe or place your submission in the box located on the front porch at Sugarbush Drive. Remember, we need at least 80 people to attend the upcoming annual meeting, on March 28, 2024, at 10:00am in the PAC, in order to constitute a quorum. Whether you are an avid playing member or a social member of the Pickleball Club, we want you to attend the meeting, cast your vote, and give your input for future issues, such as cookouts, events and scheduling of the courts.
SKILLS AND DRILLS - D

GET YOUR GLASS OVER HERE
We are in search of clear wine or liquor bottles in the 750ML size. We are using these for decorations for the Bash, so drink up and save for us your empties, or if you don’t drink, you are welcome to bring us full bottles as long as they are clear! We’ll take care of the unused contents. Bottles can be dropped off at Kathie Cocchi’s house, Summerwood Court. If you have some but can’t do the drop off, contact Diane Beaudoin and we’ll see they get to Kathie.
COOKOUT
Record Set! For the first time, seemingly in forever, 100% of the 93 sign-ups showed up last Saturday for a fabulous hamburger/cheeseburger cookout event! Ruth Henry-Dickinson and a crew of Canadian volunteers nailed this event like no other. Organizers, cooks, servers, set up and clean up helpers adorned in Canada Club red aprons gave it their all. Tables competed in Canadian Trivia. Background and dance music was played. Special candy, only available in Canada, was distributed to attendees. Fantastic Night! To all of the 100% who were there, and to all who put on this fun memorable night, THANK YOU for this event. Canada rocks!!! Oh, did we forget to mention, this event was pulled off in the RAIN. Canada ain’t no sissies!!
Marie Knowlton, TPPC President.
